The Grapevine™

There are several reasons why I chose this name.  One is that we at LDSWA™ liken ourselves to the parable found in John 15:5.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in Him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”

LDSWA™ has planted something that we are now cultivating and pruning to bring forth fruits for each of us to grow from. We are a work in progress and know when we find something not working; it must be cut off for development to take place. Our vision is to continue our growth so that we may reach LDS women all around the world.

I have become more aware of how many women feel they do not 'fit’ into the typical “Molly Mormon” life. It is my belief that it does not matter if we are widowed, a single mother, working, divorced, re-married, inactive, recently returned to the Church, have suffered with addictions, depression, abuse, weight issues and so forth. The parable of the vineyard found in Matthew 20:1-16 is for today’s LDS woman. As the parable conveys, our Heavenly Fathers loves us just the same as we are told we all have a right to the same blessings ‘wage’ regardless of our journey to get back to Him.

Having personally experienced many of the challenges mentioned above it is my hope and wish that we, through LDSWA™, come together and build a community that relates, understands and helps one another become more grounded in Christ in today's world.

And finally, we want our message spread to all through ‘the Grapevine'™.

So keep checking back for musings and feel free to comment at any time.

I really want this to be your blog too!
